Explore cafes and coffee shops in Dubai that welcome pets with open arms. Enjoy comfortable spaces, outdoor seating, and special amenities for you and your furry companion.
The challenge with pet-friendly cafes in Dubai is knowing what you're actually getting before you arrive. "Pet-friendly" can mean anything from a dedicated dog area with water bowls to simply not turning you away if you sit outside. The cafes on this page all allow dogs — at minimum on their outdoor terrace. Some go further: water bowls on request, genuinely welcoming staff, and in a few cases indoor access too. Where we know the specifics, they're in the individual listing. If indoor access matters to you, it's worth calling ahead — policies aren't always displayed and can vary by the day or by who's working.
Dubai's outdoor season (October–April) is when these spots are most enjoyable. Outdoor seating is often preferable for dogs anyway — more space, more air, less noise than indoors. Our Outdoor Seating Cafes in Dubai guide has more on the best terrace spots across the city.
Dubai's heat affects dogs faster than people. Pavement temperatures in direct sun can burn paws even when the air feels manageable. The outdoor season that works for humans (October–April) applies here too, but with less margin:
In summer (May–September), outdoor seating isn't comfortable for dogs at any time of day. If you're visiting in summer, check whether the cafe has indoor access before going.
Downtown Dubai / Boulevard — Several pet-friendly spots along the Boulevard, where the wide pedestrian strip gives dogs plenty of room. Easy to walk between cafes. Gets busy on weekends, but the outdoor space is generally ample enough that it doesn't feel cramped.
Business Bay — More mixed in terms of outdoor space. Some spots have proper terrace setups; others are pavement tables on busy roads. Check the individual listings for details.
Al Quoz — Less dense but often better outdoor space per venue. The area's industrial-creative character tends to come with more relaxed, spacious setups — some spots have courtyard or garden areas that work well for dogs.
