Coffee is in our DNA. Founded by Orit Mohammed, who descends from generations of Ethiopian coffee farmers, roasters, and connoisseurs, Boon Coffee Roasters brings authentic farm-to-cup quality to Dubai.

Our beans travel straight from partner farms in Yirgacheffe and beyond to our Dubai roastery, where we roast daily to reveal their full sweetness and floral notes. We offer carefully curated single origins — Kaffa, Guji, Sidamo, and Yirgacheffe from Ethiopia, plus select lots from Brazil and Colombia.

Whether you prefer a rich espresso or a delicate pour-over, every cup at Boon tells the story of its origin.

Boon Coffee is the creation of Orit Mohammed, born in Harar, Ethiopia, into a family that has grown, roasted, and traded coffee for generations. After studying in the US and settling in Dubai in 2008, she noticed that Ethiopian specialty coffee — the origin of coffee itself — had almost no presence in the city's booming cafe scene.

What started with a single roasting machine and a box of cups now supports thousands of Ethiopian coffee farmers. The name says it all: Boon means coffee in the Harari language and coffee beans in Arabic. Every cup traces back to direct relationships with farms in Yirgacheffe, Sidamo, Harrar, and Kaffa — regions where Arabica coffee has grown wild for centuries.

Orit's mission goes beyond the cup. She set out to show that Ethiopia is not the narrative often seen on TV but a place of rich culture, stunning landscapes, and world-class coffee.

Our Forte Tower Downtown location is more than a cafe — it is a roastery where you can watch the craft unfold. We open at dawn for early risers, offer wheelchair access, and keep plenty of outlets ready for laptop-based work.

With 10 locations across Dubai — from JLT to Nakheel Mall and The Pointe — there is always a Boon Coffee nearby. We also supply luxury hotels and restaurants with beans, equipment, and barista training.

The drink menu leans into manual brewing — V60, Aeropress, syphon, and French press sit alongside classic espresso drinks. If you want to taste Ethiopian single origins at their best, go for a V60 pour-over of Yirgacheffe or Guji. For something cooler, the iced V60 and nitro cold brew are popular picks when the Dubai heat hits.

The best-selling espresso drinks are the cappuccino, flat white, and iced latte — all pulled from 100% Arabica Ethiopian beans roasted in-house. Matcha drinkers are covered too.

On the food side, expect flaky croissants, a quinoa cruffin that regulars swear by, and a proper halloumi cheese toastie for something savory. The Basque cheesecake is a frequent Instagram feature. Breakfast is served early and portions are generous enough to fuel a full morning of work.
